Civil7 (C7) is one of the official Engagement Groups of the G7 and represents positions from the international civil society. It provides a platform through which representatives from non-governmental organizations worldwide can network in order to develop policy recommendations and enter into a dialogue with the G7.
Japan CSO Coalition on G7 Summit 2023, which hosted the C7 Summit during Japan’s G7 presidency in 2023, as Secretariat of Civil7 (C7), is an umbrella organization of 123 civil society organizations and 78 individuals. Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC) and Japan Civil Society Network on SDGs (SDGs Japan) are co-secretariat of the Japan CSO Coalition on G7 Summit 2023.
